The buyer is PURE NORDIC, a pure water technology company based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company specializes in integrated reverse osmosis (RO) pure water systems for semiconductors, biopharmaceuticals and high-end laboratories. Its products and chemicals comply with EU REACH regulation, Swedish environmental protection laws and USP pharmacopoeia standards, with full compliance requirements for zero phosphorus, low TOC, low metal ions and biological inertness. It ranks among top mid-to-high-end clients in the pure water industry.
The client places an annual customized order of 28 tons of high-purity phosphorus-free RO antiscalants for their two-stage RO + EDI ultrapure water production lines. Previously, they long imported European and American chemicals but switched to Chinese sourcing due to long delivery cycles and excessive costs. The client specified clear requirements: total phosphorus content of the product <0.01% (virtually phosphorus-free), total organic carbon (TOC) <500mg/L, total heavy metals including iron, copper and lead <1mg/kg. Conventional domestic phosphorus-free antiscalants generally have TOC above 800mg/L and excessive heavy metals, making them unsuitable for ultrapure water systems in pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries.
Inlet water salinity fluctuates widely on-site (2000~4500μS/cm). Conventional products experience rapid scaling inhibition efficiency decline under high-salt conditions, with prominent calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate scaling tendencies. The customized product must maintain a scaling inhibition rate ≥96% during 30 consecutive days of operation under high-salt working conditions.
The chemical will remain in long-term contact with polyamide RO membranes. It must leave no surface residues, induce no membrane fouling and cause no membrane flux variation. Ordinary formulations contain certain high-molecular additives that lead to organic contamination on membrane surfaces after long-term use, resulting in declining product water quality.
Winter temperatures in Nordic storage warehouses can drop to -8°C. Conventional products easily turn turbid, delaminate and precipitate active ingredients under low temperatures, with irreversible performance degradation after thawing, preventing stable year-round storage.

Multi-stage precision filtration and ultrafiltration purification processes were added to production to intercept macromolecular impurities and trace heavy metal ions. The final product achieves TOC at 420mg/L and total heavy metals at 0.7mg/kg, fully exceeding client standards. Eco-friendly low-temperature antifreeze components were compounded to optimize molecular miscibility. Testing confirmed the product remains uniform and transparent with no delamination or precipitation after 20 days of static storage at -8°C.
High-viscosity high-molecular additives prone to membrane adsorption were eliminated, replaced with low-adsorption surface active components. Multiple groups of dynamic RO membrane simulation tests were conducted. After optimization, the membrane flux attenuation rate of the chemical under continuous operation is less than 1%, with no organic residues or biological adhesion on membrane surfaces, fully meeting long-term usage requirements for polyamide reverse osmosis membranes.
A fully automated continuous DCS production line was deployed with exclusive production SOPs. Real-time monitoring was implemented for reaction temperature, feeding ratios, stirring speed and discharge indicators, strictly controlling batch key indicator deviation within 0.2%.
