The conventional aqueous synthesis process for MCA cannot effectively control heavy metal impurities. Production of electronic grade MCA requires high-purity melamine and electronic grade cyanuric acid as raw materials, as well as an independent clean production workshop, leading to high costs for production line conversion.
The client required a single hexagonal flaky crystal form, while traditional synthesis methods tend to produce irregular spherical particles, making it hard to keep the particle size steadily within the narrow range of 0.22~0.28μm.
Electronic chemicals imported into Japan need full testing in accordance with JIS K6911 and RoHS 2.0 standards, and each batch must be accompanied by an original Certificate of Analysis (COA) for high-purity testing. Conventional domestic testing laboratories do not hold qualification for electronic grade product testing.
The client’s original formula: 22% MCA + 30% glass fiber + PA66 base material. The extruder was set at 275℃, but the local shear heat on the screw exceeded 300℃. Trace free cyanuric acid in electronic grade MCA decomposed under high temperature and generated acidic substances, which caused mold fouling and product yellowing.
Poor interfacial compatibility between MCA and glass fiber resulted in uncovered glass fiber tips. The impact strength of finished products decreased by 18%. Uneven distribution of flame retardant additives also led to inconsistent flame retardant performance.
The client adopted a conventional dry premixing process. Ultra-fine MCA powder agglomerated due to static electricity, causing excessive local concentration of additives and premature thermal degradation under high temperature, which led to flame retardant failure.
Lead time
Quantity (ton) | 0 - 10 | 10 - 30 | > 30 |
Lead time (days) | 7 | 15 | To be negotiated |
The monthly inventory volume of MCA is 40 tons, with appropriate adjustments upwards or downwards in response to peak and off-peak seasons.
HiSiaddi safeguards the supply stability of MCA through the following measures:
(1) Performance evaluation and screening of MCA brand factories based on on-time delivery rate, batch pass rate, timeliness of risk alerts, and completeness of documentation to assess their supply stability.
(2) For each mainstream model or major grade of MCA, secure 1 primary high-quality brand manufacturer and 2 backup high-quality manufacturers.
(3) Each factory operates independent production lines in separate production zones to prevent production halts caused by major unforeseen incidents such as environmental production suspensions and power outages.
Through long-term cooperation with brand manufacturers via technology commercialization and authorized distribution channels, HiSiaddi can effectively strengthen supervision over the production processes of brand manufacturers, optimize full-process traceability management, improve batch stability control, and further reinforce real-time monitoring of the supply stability of MCA products.
Long-term Annual Framework Supply Guarantee Agreement. HiSiaddi signs 12-month long-term agreements with leading manufacturers. The agreements specify the minimum guaranteed supply volume, maximum price hike range, and priority production scheduling rights during peak seasons. It is stipulated that manufacturers shall issue a 30-day prior written notice if production is suspended due to environmental rectification or equipment maintenance, and backup manufacturers will be activated to replenish goods accordingly.
We have 4 warehouses, which are jointly operated and managed with suppliers to store hot-selling products. The four warehouses are located at Qingdao Port in North China, Ningbo Port in East China, Shenzhen Port in South China, and Zhengzhou, China’s inland logistics hub. This setup guarantees sufficient supply and timely shipment of MCA during peak seasons.
HiSiaddi issues a rolling demand forecast covering the subsequent three months on the 25th of each month, allowing manufacturers to reserve production capacity in accordance with the forecast. Any new urgent orders from overseas clients will be prioritized to draw on inventories or production capacity from backup manufacturers.
4. Multi-channel logistics to resolve vessel congestion and inspection delays for MCA sea and land shipments
Unstable logistics for MCA will extend delivery lead times. HiSiaddi has established alternative arrangements covering multiple freight forwarders, ports and transportation solutions:
(1) Binding of multiple professional chemical freight forwarders for MCA
Each product is assigned 2 to 3 freight forwarders with hazardous chemical/food transport qualifications affiliated with different shipping lines. Alternative sailing schedules can be switched to immediately in case of space shortages or customs inspections on a single shipping route.
(2) Backup transportation solutions for MCA
Ocean freight serves as the standard mode; air freight and rail freight are reserved as alternatives for urgent orders. Long-term agreements for temperature-controlled containers are signed for temperature-sensitive and perishable food additives to secure shipping space.
(3) Visual tracking and digital early warning for MCA
Freight forwarders synchronize daily updates on container loading, customs declaration, vessel loading and port arrival milestones. If customs inspection occurs, replenishment from backup inventory will be initiated immediately to shorten client waiting periods.
Full-chain digital early warning automatically monitors four categories of risks:
Factory side: Expiring supplier environmental assessment certificates, renewal of production permits, scheduled major equipment overhauls, and notifications of price hikes for upstream raw materials;
Inventory side: Inventory falling below safety thresholds, excessive inventory age, and batches failing quality inspection;
Logistics side: Shipping line space shortages, strikes at destination ports, and updates to customs policies;
Overseas side: Revisions to additive regulations and adjustments to import restriction lists in target countries.
Early warning notifications are automatically pushed to procurement and business leads, allowing backup suppliers or inventory contingency plans to be activated in advance.

These buyers are concentrated in high-end manufacturing regions including Western Europe, North America, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan of China. Their core products cover LDS nylon parts for 5G base stations, 800V high-voltage connectors for new energy vehicles, epoxy substrates for semiconductor packaging, and insulating structural components for servers. Their products directly impact electronic equipment safety, signal stability and high-voltage insulation reliability, making them the most stringent buyers for MCA quality standards.
1. Comprehensive Pre-Procurement Assessment First, zero-tolerance compliance and complete certification chain. Beyond REACH and RoHS, products must meet electronic safety standards including UL94 V-0 (0.8–3.2mm), UL746A and IEC 60950. New energy high-voltage components additionally require compliance with ISO 6469 and SAE J1772. 5G high-frequency applications demand low dielectric loss and the absence of halogen, phosphorus, antimony and other interfering elements. Multi-lingual COA, MSDS, batch traceability reports, and third-party flame retardant/insulation test reports are mandatory; suppliers with incomplete qualifications will be eliminated immediately.
Second, pre-verification of micro-impurity and electrical performance risks. Strict testing for metal ions (Fe/Cu/Na/K ≤0.1ppm) and chloride ions, as trace metals cause circuit leakage and signal attenuation, while chloride ions corrode precision solder joints. Volume resistivity, dielectric constant and CTI (≥600V) must also be validated to guarantee stable insulation under high-frequency/high-voltage operating conditions.
Third, strong alignment between high-temperature processing and batch consistency. Most high-end electronic components undergo twin-screw extrusion (280–320°C) and precision injection molding, requiring MCA thermal decomposition temperature ≥350°C to avoid decomposition, foaming or precipitation at high temperatures. Parallel testing across 3 consecutive batches is mandatory to minimize fluctuations in purity, particle size and whiteness, preventing drift in flame retardant rating or insulation performance of end products.
Fourth, deep supply chain partnership. Annual long-term contracts with price lock agreements are widely adopted. Suppliers are required to operate dust-free workshops with electronic-grade pure water systems and full-process anti-contamination control. A stepped delivery model covering small-batch trial production, pilot scale-up and mass production is required, alongside annual third-party audit support. These buyers are price-insensitive and willing to pay a 25%–40% premium for ultra-high purity, low impurity and consistent quality.
1. Core Product Indicators for Procurement (Full-Spectrum High-Precision Control: Micro-Impurity Management + Electrical Performance + Thermal Stability)
· Main MCA purity: ≥99.5%, deviation between measured and nominal value ≤0.1%; free melamine ≤0.001%, residual cyanuric acid ≤0.2%
· Metal ions (Fe/Cu/Na/K): ≤0.1ppm; non-detectable is optimal to eliminate leakage risks
· Thermal decomposition temperature (Td): ≥350°C, thermal weight loss ≤0.5% at 320°C for compatibility with high-temperature processing
· Particle size (D50/D97): D50=1.0–1.5μm, D97≤3μm with narrow particle size distribution to ensure uniform dispersion and smooth surface finish
· Moisture content: ≤0.1% to prevent moisture absorption, caking and processing foaming
· Whiteness: ≥98% to avoid visual defects in light-colored/transparent electronic parts
· Electrical performance: Volume resistivity ≥10¹⁴Ω·cm, CTI≥600V, dielectric constant ≤3.0 (1GHz)

These buyers are distributed in mid-tier manufacturing regions including Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and South America, manufacturing common home appliance housings, low-voltage electrical fittings, consumer electronic structural parts and non-high-voltage cable sheaths. Fierce industry competition yields moderate profit margins; their core procurement priorities are adequate performance, cost control and flexible supply.
1. Comprehensive Pre-Procurement Assessment First, basic market access compliance. Only RoHS, REACH and UL94 V-0 (3.2mm) certifications are required, with no special high-frequency/high-voltage qualifications. Standard MSDS, COA and certificate of origin suffice for customs clearance.
Second, prioritized formulation compatibility and processing stability. Compatibility testing with PA6/PA66, PP and ABS is required, focusing on elimination of foaming, mold sticking and blooming under 260–280°C processing temperatures. A coarser particle size (D50=3–5μm) is acceptable to balance dispersibility and cost.
Third, balance of cost and supply flexibility. Frequent price comparison is standard, prioritizing the lowest comprehensive cost (unit price + freight + tariff). Price fluctuations of ±5% are acceptable, but low-quality supplies are rejected. MOQ ≤5 tons, 7–10 day lead time and emergency supplementary order support are required to match small-batch multi-batch production schedules.
Fourth, basic batch consistency guarantees. Purity fluctuation of ±0.3% and particle size fluctuation of ±1μm are permitted, but flame retardant rating, moisture content and whiteness must remain compliant to avoid mass defective products.
1. Core Product Indicators for Procurement (Cost-Oriented with Reasonably Relaxed Basic Performance Standards)
· Purity: ≥99.0%, free melamine ≤0.05%, residual cyanuric acid ≤0.5%
· Thermal decomposition temperature: ≥320°C to accommodate conventional processing temperatures
· Particle size (D50): 3–5μm, D97≤10μm with adequate uniform dispersion
· Moisture content: ≤0.2% to prevent caking and feeding failures
· Whiteness: ≥96% to meet general appearance requirements

· Metal ions: ≤5ppm with no strict elemental subdivision, sufficient for basic insulation
These buyers are wholesalers and traders operating out of global chemical hubs including Rotterdam, Singapore and Dubai. They do not conduct manufacturing themselves; they purchase electronic-grade MCA for full-container import, drum repackaging and regional redistribution to small-to-medium electronics/modifier manufacturers locally. Their core procurement priorities are ease of transportation, storage and customs clearance, universal applicability and stable profit margins.
1. Comprehensive Pre-Procurement Assessment First, globally applicable certification documents. Multi-lingual (English/Spanish/Arabic) MSDS, universal COA, RoHS/REACH certificates and halogen-free declarations are mandatory. A single set of documents must support customs clearance across the EU, Southeast Asia, Middle East and South America; niche certifications are rejected.
Second, prioritized stability for warehousing and ocean shipping. Key testing metrics include moisture absorption rate (≤0.15%), anti-caking performance and minimum 12-month ambient shelf life. Standard packaging is 25kg moisture-proof lined woven bags + bulk jumbo bags to prevent leakage and damage during 40–60 day ocean freight and cross-climate transit.
Third, universal product applicability. Only standard electronic-grade MCA (≥99.5%) with conventional particle size (D50=2–4μm) is sourced; customized grades are avoided to reduce inventory stagnation risks, ensuring compatibility with electronics factories, modifier manufacturers and cable producers.
Fourth, balance of profit and risk. Total landed cost (purchase price + ocean freight + repackaging fee + storage loss) is calculated comprehensively. Suppliers with price fluctuations ≤3% and stable supply are prioritized. Flexible order sizes ranging from 5–10 ton small containers to 20 ton full containers are accepted.
