The cooperating client, BioPack Holland B.V., is located in a green eco-industrial park in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and is a well-known Western European manufacturer of premium organic fresh food and meal replacement packaging. Zero client awareness of domestic PLA brand pedigrees and grade positioning: The Dutch procurement team operates exclusively within imported raw material supply chains in Europe, familiar only with grade systems from NatureWorks and TotalEnergies Corbion, lacking understanding of China’s tiered PLA brand landscape. Hisun omitted the superior toughness of Kingfa’s modified materials, while Fengyuan failed to highlight the ultra-high food-grade purity of Hisun’s raw materials. The client could not rely on manufacturer introductions to conduct objective screening, and struggled to distinguish grade suitability solely based on sample test data.
3. Differentiated physical indicator requirements for two production lines cannot be fully satisfied by a single brand: The client operates an ultra-thin 22μm high-speed film blowing line (requiring high melt strength, tear resistance during stretching, and no brittleness at -18°C cold storage) and a heat-resistant microwave injection molding food container line (heat distortion ≥87°C, zero additive precipitation upon food contact, high transparency). No single domestic brand could deliver optimal performance across both film blowing and heat-resistant injection molding segments. The client initially planned full-category procurement from one brand, yet repeated trial production failed due to brand product positioning limitations.

Auxiliary agent control standards fall below EU food access requirements, and heat-resistant grades only achieve approximately 70°C heat distortion temperature.
Core strengths: Robust modification R&D capabilities with self-developed dedicated PLA/PBAT composite film blowing modified grades refined via tens of thousands of machine trials. Outstanding melt strength and low-temperature toughness perfectly suited for 22μm ultra-thin high-speed film blowing. All series modified materials adopt EU food-approved additives with complete OK Compost and EN 13432 industrial compostability certifications. Two domestic mid-to-high-end leading brands (Hisun Biomaterials and Kingfa Technology) were shortlisted, with three finalized grades leveraging differentiated product strengths of each brand to match the client’s film blowing and injection molding product requirements respectively.
1. REVODE290 High-Purity Transparent Base Material: High optical purity virgin PLA chips with heat distortion temperature of 83°C and oligomer residue <90 ppm. Used as modification base material blended with compliant food-grade additives to deliver finished products resistant to deformation under short-term 85°C microwave heating, high transparency, and zero precipitation – ideal for high-end transparent food container injection molding.
2. REVODE213TR Finished Heat-Resistant Modified Material: Pre-modified finalized heat-resistant injection molding grade from Hisun with elongation at break of 19%, resistant to cracking upon drop testing at -20°C low temperature. Directly machineable without secondary modification, suitable for rapid small-batch new product launch trials.
Kingfa self-developed dedicated PLA composite film blowing modified material: Pre-blended PLA and food-grade PBAT at precise ratios in factory production. Stable melt strength with film elongation at break of 220%, enabling stable production of 22μm thin films without tearing during high-speed blowing. All formula components are listed on EU food approval inventories, eliminating the client’s core ultra-thin film rupture pain point in one step.
HiSiaddi coordinated 25kg sample deliveries from both manufacturers for unified full-parameter testing per the client’s corporate standards at SGS laboratories in the Netherlands. Physical property, food migration, and compost biodegradability indicators all met requirements.
